Inventory Quantities
5th Avenue Software can track inventory on a real-time basis, if the auto-inventory option has been enabled. When an order has been placed for an item, it will automatically adjust the item's quantity on hand. To record purchases, or other inventory adjustments, you can use the Merchant control panel Enter Inventory quantities screen. This facilitates the entry of new available quantities. This screen also updates the inventory status fields.
This process can also be acheived by exporting a product inventory list, updating the quantities by spreadsheet or 3rd party software, then importing the new quantity amounts using the import inventory option. This will also automatically update inventory status fields.
Inventory fields
When the auto-inventory option is enabled, there are some extra inventory fields, which can be updated in either the product record or in the control panel under Edit inventory fields. These fields are for reporting purposes and include:
- Inventory Status
- Reorder Point
- Reorder Lead-time
- Reorder Vendor
- Quantity on hand
