Payflow Link
5th Avenue Software supports Payflow Link and Payflow Pro. Payflow Pro requires software downloaded from VeriSign to be installed on your server. Payflow Link has very few requirements.
There are two ways to use Payflow Link. If you have an SSL site, you can collect credit card or e-check info and then pass it to VeriSign to be authorized/captured. If you don't have an SSL site, 5th Avenue passes customer and order information to the Verisign gateway where the customer completes credit card or e-check information. In either situation, Verisign posts the transaction back to your 5th Avenue databases and then displays a receipt page.
To integrate 5th Avenue Software with Payflow Link follow these steps:
- Register for a Payflow Link account and apply for an Internet Merchant
account at http://www.VeriSign.com/products/payflow/link/
- Configure Payflow Link:
- Select "Post" for the return URL method and enter:
http://url to store pages/ checkout_complete.php?user_action=payflow_confirmation
- Check the "Silent Post" checkbox and enter:
http://url to store pages/PFLINK_response.php
Example: http://www.mysite.com/store/store_pages/PFLINK_response.php
- Check the "force silent post confirmation" checkbox (Optional). Enter the url to your store pages plus "PFLINK_error.php". You shouldn't get the error page, but if you do, contact 5A support. You may need to uncheck this option.
- Select the required fields and editable fields you want. (Optional)
- Set the transaction mode to "Test". After running a couple of test transactions, you will set this back to "Live".
- If you are not going to use your own SSL site, specify the appearance and content of your
VeriSign-hosted order processing forms in the next section of the form. (Optional). This procedure is described in
the payflow link user manual, Chapter 2, ?Configuring Payflow Link.?
- Configure the other options as desired, but on some of these, your settings in 5th Avenue will override them.
- Configure your security options as preferred.
- Configure 5th Avenue Software:
- Go to the Payment Wizard and setup New Payment Method. Refer to Setup New Payment Method for instructions.
- If you indicated that you have an SSL site and will be collecting payment information to pass to VeriSign, choose Payflow Link w/SSL. Otherwise, you will only be given one option, "VeriSign-Payflow Link".
- Enter your VeriSign Merchant parameters:
- Your login and partner information is supplied by VeriSign.
- Follow the on-screen instructions for the rest of the entries. They depend on your own preferences.
- Customize default templates used by the VeriSign process:
- PFL1_payment: (Uses VeriSign's payment collection page).
- PFL2_payment: (For SSL sites).
- PFLINK_error: For error situations when 5A scripts cannot send a confirmation response.
- PFLINK_response: Do not change anything on this template--it is for accepting transaction data back from VeriSign.
- Test Payflow Link before you activate your Web store for customer use. Test card numbers can be found in the VeriSign user manual in Chapter 5, ?Testing Payflow Link.? You won't need to do extensive testing, testing is to ensure your settings work and produce the results you require.
- Activate your account to go live. This step is described in Chapter 6,
?Activating Payflow Link.? in the user manual.
